To make your stay in our hotel as pleasant as possible, we ask you to carefully read the regulations and the rules of conduct laid down. Upon confirmation of the booking, the regulations are considered tacitly accepted. In renewing our welcome, we thank you for choosing us and wish you a happy and pleasant stay.

Animals

Animals are not allowed on our premises, not even small ones.

Linen and Irons

Our hotel is eco-friendly, so please only place your bath towels on the floor if they need replacing; please do not waste water and electricity and remember to lock up everything when you leave the room.

Bringing irons, electric camping cookers and heaters of any kind is prohibited. For ironing, please contact the hotel staff, who are always available. We would like to remind you that it is a sign of decency and a municipal prohibition to hang wet clothes in front of the windows of your room.

Rooms

Our rooms were all renovated between 2018 and 2020. In some the décor is more modern, in others more classic. All rooms are carpeted. Superior rooms are the most soundproofed and all have a shower, some have a whirlpool bath: please inform us of any preferences when booking.

Arrival / Departure

Hotel San Marco is in the stadium area, 2 km from the famous Arena di Verona and about 1.5 km from the Porta Nuova train station. We can be easily reached by city bus no. 11 which, in ten minutes or five stops, will take you directly to the secondary entrance of our hotel, in via Longhena. By car, take the Verona Nord exit and immediately turn right into via Lugagnano, which becomes via San Marco after a few kilometres.

Reception open 24 hours, please let us know your arrival time.

In case your arrival time is scheduled earlier, fear not: our luggage room is available free of charge and our concierge will direct you to the nearest points of interest. The reception is open 24 hours a day, you will always find an operator available at any time.

Please note that you must vacate your room by 11 a.m. If you need more time or simply wish to take it easy, you can keep your room until 4 p.m. After that time, the full amount for the night will be charged. On departure you will be asked to pay anything not previously paid, including bar extras and taxes, and you will be required to return your room key.

Breakfast

Our breakfast includes a rich buffet that is served from 07:00 to 10:30.

It is forbidden to take away and consume the buffet products outside the spaces provided for breakfast; for every need, the staff is available to satisfy requests in the best possible way. In case of any food intolerances and allergies it is necessary to promptly notify the staff in the room.

Deposit of valuables

The undersigned company declines all responsibility and cannot be blamed for the return of unattended goods. According to the regulations of the Italian Civil Code, we are obliged to accept objects for custody, but we may refuse to accept dangerous, bulky or excessively valuable objects.

No smoking

Since the hotel is furnished with high-quality materials and advocates a healthy lifestyle, please note that smoking is prohibited in all rooms, restaurants, and the Oxygena Spa! Smoking is only permitted in outdoor areas. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of the hotel, including rooms (Art. 51 Law 3 of 16/01/03). You will have to pay compensation in case of smoking in the room.

Emergencies

Our hotel is open 24 hours a day and an operator are always available to assist with calls to the police (113) or medical (118); fire brigade available on 115. We remind you that to get an outside line you must call 9 (reception) to be enabled and dial 0 (zero) before each number. The hotel has a first-aid kit; no medication may be administered for any reason.

Booking guarantee

To guarantee the resevation is always necessary to give a credit card; no pre-authorisation will be made without the proper authorisation of the owner of the card. Cash is not accepted for any reason and at any time of the day, except during the window in the morning from 7 am to 12 am.

The management is available to record complains or reports of any kind, tips and criticisms, prior appointment via mail writing to sanmarco@sanmarco.vr.it

Our staff is trained to work at the maximum of their professionalism for every form of emergency and/or kind request; in the case of disrespect of the working staff no solution or compromise will be possible and the immediate removal form the indoor and outdoor premises will be required.

Hotel and garage entrance

The main entrance of our hotel is from via San Marco: you can access from nr 9 and 11. The secondary entrance and the garage entrance are from via Baldassarre Longhena 42. In case you arrive from there do not worry: you find on the left hand side of each entrance the bells, we will be glad to open our doors.

Our hotel has an underground garage at the cost of € 10.00 per night. With a few maneuvers you’ll be able to place your car in safety, the spaces are many therefore we don’t require the booking. In case you are not interested of guarantee a fresh and dry place for your car do not worry: by the street and in the close streets (via Baldassarre Longhena) there are many free places. Remember that if you would like to access the garage you will need to ring the bell under the grey emergency stair that you find in via Baldassarre Longhena 42: Remember to announce yourself with your name for the check by our staff.

Minors

All the minors must be accompanied by an adult and the must possess a valid identification document. It will not be accepted in the premises of the writing company any minor missing these requirements. The escorts of the minors are directly responsible for the acts made by them both inside and outside of the premises of the hotel: every damage suffered by the writing company will be monetized and charged with no further communication. It is severely forbidden the access to the wellness centre for safety reasons.

Payments

Our hotel adopts a “cash-less” policy for which it is expected the payment with cash only in the morning from 7 am to 12 am. Beyond this time is possible to pay with debit or credit card (visa, mastercard, American express).

Gym

The gym is included in the cost of the stay, the access is through the reception asking indication on how to reach it to our receptionists. If you train during summer remember it could be very hot, therefore get yourself an extra towel and training suit. Access is forbidden to minors (18 years). At the moment is mandatory to show your green pass for entrance.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation policies change in base of the season and the type of room.

In the case you are forced to leave earlier than the booking date the total amount of your stay will be charged based on the art.1385-1386 of the Italian civil code and further modifications. All the cancellation policies are meant read and accepted at the moment of the booking.

Outdoor swimming pool

To access the outdoor swimming pool is free and without booking. Minors must be accompanied by adults. Every day you can enjoy a good swim from 9 am to 8 pm. For sanitary reasons is forbidden the use of the towels from the room: we rent at just € 2.00 towels that arrive straight form our laundry which are sanitised with the Sars-CoV-2 protocols. It is the cost of a coffee and for us the refund for the laundry fee. Remember that we are a city hotel, therefore the pool is not equipped with sunbeds for all the guests and that the sun is not present the whole day.

Indoor swimming pool

The indoor pool is part of the Spa, read the specific section for further information.

Position

Our hotel is about 2 km from the Arena: this means that if you go straight on foot you will reach it in 25 minutes. But, in the journey, just at 600 meters you will find the first historic nuclei of the city: San Zeno and its important Basilica. In this case the time of the walk will lengthen, you could take much more time to reach the Arena. Consider that the bus number 11 connects our hotel directly to the city centre and the train station: you won’t change bus and you can buy the ticket directly onboard.

Cleaning

Every day our staff is in service to guarantee the cleanliness and the hygiene not only of rooms and bathrooms, but of all the common spaces of the hotel. The change of the linen occurs every two days and all the toilets are equipped of hygienic products. In case you need some courtesy product o a more frequent change of the equipment in the rooms, do not hesitate to talk to reception.

Documents registration

Upon arrival all the guests (minors included) must provide a valid ID, in order to fill and communicate the presence to the police. The missing of such presentation of the document does not allow the access to the room. In case of groups, the designed tour leader becomes automatically responsible for all the actions done to damage the writing company and the other guests, with the chance of be move away from the premises without notice. It is strictly forbidden to allow persons who are not registered in the hotel to enter the room, in order to be able to fulfil the provisions of the current accommodation regulations.

Night rest

From 11 pm to 7 am, we ask you to observe behaviour appropriate to guaranteeing the rest of all guests present in the hotel, including the volume of voices, the use of clogs, slamming doors, excessively loud electronic devices or noise of any kind. In the event that this is not observed, we shall be obliged to ask you to leave the premises without further notice and to pay for the damage caused to the writing company and other guests.

Restaurant and bar

Our restaurant is currently not active. You can consume food and beverages from outside, with delivery directly to your room or in our common areas. In each room there is a mini fridge with water only (€ 1.00 per bottle) in which you can store your food. For any other requests you can ask our bartenders, who will be happy to offer hot dishes as well as delicious drinks. If you need recommendations for restaurants near our hotel or typical trattorias/pizzerias our concierges will be happy to help you.

SPA

Our SPA “Oxygena” is open exclusively by reservation in private (you only!) and public (10 persons) form, following the measures imposed by the government to contain Sars-CoV-2. The wellness path consists of a heated pool and whirlpool, sauna, Turkish bath, Roman bath, Kneipp path and emotional showers. THE COST is € 35.00 per person for 120 minutes of the journey. Please contact us to reserve the time slot you prefer. We remind you that access to the wellness centre is strictly forbidden for minors.

City tax

A tourist tax of EUR 3.50 per person per day is added (children under 14 are exempt). This is a contribution to the protection and development of the area's cultural and natural heritage.

Wi-Fi

Our wi-fi service has just been renewed: you can surf at high speed from the comfort of your room. Please note that all our rooms are equipped with an Ethernet cable in case you want to connect your PC directly. Performance is high in both cases. No responsibility is attributable to the writing company for malfunctions in the internet network and any utilities (water, electricity, etc.).
